The name Oakridge is an acronym highlighting our primary mission goals.
We desire to share with Christians the tools necessary to equip them for a life that GLORIFIES God. This is accomplished through ABIDING in Christ and understanding our IDENTITY in Him as we REST in God's scriptural promises. As Christians we need small group fellowship, the KOINONIA that provides ENCOURAGEMENT as we learn how to follow Christ in DISCIPLESHIP. OUTREACH is just the natural overflow of Jesus Christ living through us as He uses us to impact others.
Our desire is that the youth ministry and conference center be used to His glory for outreach and the building up of believers. Our goal is to connect students to the 3 C's - Christ, Christian Mentors, and Church. This is accomplished primarily through the discipleship ministry and summer camps.
Doctrinal Statement
We believe in . . .
· The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct
· The Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
· The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory
· The Person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration, and sanctification, who indwells every believer equipping them with gifts for service and witnessing
· The necessity of new birth, through salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone and the importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ
· The church as the one universal body of Christ, with Christ as its' Head, called to be God's redeemed people
